Tanya Boucicaut (or Ms. B as her students call her) began teaching Focused Inquiry as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the University College in 2014. She served as an adjunct in 2016, and was hired as an assistant professor in 2017. She teaches the UNIV 111 and UNIV 112 sequence. Previously, she served as the Graduate Theological Writing Center Coordinator and Writing Instructor at the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University where she taught Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry students. She earned an M.F.A. in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also earned a M.Div. from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Her research interests include writing and rhetoric studies, Black literature, theatre pedagogy, and theology.
