Bill Notter teaches UNIV 200 (Inquiry and the Craft of Argument) and ENGL 305 (Writing Poetry).  He taught writing at the University of Nevada, Reno, and Grand Valley State University before joining the department in 2010.  He earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas and a BA in Writing from the University of Evansville.  He has received an NEA Literature Fellowship, and his poetry collection Holding Everything Down (Southern Illinois University Press, 2009) won the High Plains Book Award and was a Colorado Book Award finalist.
