Jennifer Selman studied English, Education, and Theatre at James Madison University and Writing & Rhetoric at Virginia Commonwealth University. She joined the Department of Focused Inquiry full time in 2010. She teaches UNIV 111, UNIV 112, and UNIV 217 (Finding your Voice in Contemporary Society).  Her teaching and scholarship interests include student engagement, first year student advising, and communication studies. She finds joy in teaching and learning with her students and colleagues in the Focused Inquiry Department.
