Jamie Fueglein has taught at VCU since 2001 and has been teaching Focused Inquiry since its inception in 2007. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing, and has taught at the University of Richmond, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, and for the Podium Foundation. Mr. Fueglein conducts Service-Learning sections of Focused Inquiry, pairing students with such diverse community partners as Full Circle Grief Center, the MISS Foundation, Richmond Peace Education Center, Higher Achievement, the Podium Foundation, and the Carver Promise. He presents at conferences with other VCU and Focused Inquiry Service-Learning colleagues, spreading the idea that students can become leaders who transform their communities. Mr. Fueglein also enjoys editing books, such as the political-thriller Operation Smokeout and non-fiction works, including Finding Your Own Way to Grieve: A Creative Activity Workbook for Kids on the Autism Spectrum, and, most recently, Yoga for Grief and Loss.
