Andrew Marx joined the Focused Inquiry faculty in 2007. He has since taught UNIV 111 and UNIV 112. He also teaches UNIV 222, Pseudoscience, a course he proposed and developed. Outside the Department of Focused Inquiry, he teaches Critical Thinking About Moral Problems as part of VCU’s online summer course offerings. He double-majored in philosophy and psychology at University of Delaware, earned a law degree from University at Buffalo, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the City University of New York Graduate Center. With his philosophical background and interests, he has worked to incorporate approaches to critical thinking and ethical reasoning into the Focused Inquiry curricula.
